The fine print

Privacy policy.

Short version: you can browse without giving us any personal details, all purchases happen on BrickLink, and we only use your details to get your bricks to you.

This Privacy Policy explains how Gold Coast Papabricks (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit papabricks.com, buy from our BrickLink store or get in touch with us. Gold Coast Papabricks is a LEGO® minifigure, parts and sets reselling business based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, trading on BrickLink.

Information we collect

On this website: you can read our pages, blog posts and guides without giving us any personal information. There are no accounts or comments on papabricks.com.

When you buy from our BrickLink store: BrickLink shares the details we need to fill your order, such as your name, BrickLink username, shipping address, email address and order details. If you pay by bank transfer, we'll also see the name and reference on your payment.

When you contact us: if you email us or message us on BrickLink, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or TikTok, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you include in your message.

We never see or store your card or PayPal login details. Payments are handled by BrickLink's payment options (such as PayPal and Stripe) or by your own bank.

How we use your information

  • To process, pack and ship your order
  • To send your parcel with tracking via Australia Post
  • To contact you about your order, for example if an item is short and needs a refund
  • To reply to your questions and messages
  • To keep the business records we're required to keep for tax purposes

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, and we don't use it for marketing unless you've asked to hear from us.

Who we share information with

We only share what's needed to run the store and this website:

  • BrickLink — where all orders are placed and managed
  • PayPal and Stripe — if you pay through them on BrickLink
  • Australia Post — your name and address, so your parcel can be delivered and tracked
  • Hostinger — our website host, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance
  • Google Fonts — the fonts on this site load from Google, which receives your IP address when the page loads
  • Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok — some pages show embedded posts or videos from our social channels

Each of these services has its own privacy policy that applies to the data it handles. Purchases on BrickLink are covered by BrickLink's privacy policy.

Cookies and embedded content

This website doesn't set its own advertising cookies. If we add website analytics to see how many people visit and which pages are popular, we'll list the provider here.

Some pages include embedded content, such as Instagram posts, YouTube videos or TikTok videos. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited that website directly: it may set cookies and collect data about how you interact with it, under that platform's own privacy policy. Links to our BrickLink, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok pages take you to those sites, where their own policies apply.

How long we keep your information

We keep order details for as long as we need them to fill your order and handle any issues, and for as long as Australian tax law requires us to keep business records (generally five years). Messages are kept only as long as needed to help you.

How we protect your information

Order information stays within BrickLink and our own secure accounts. Shipping labels are only used to send your parcel, and we don't keep printed copies of your details any longer than needed.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it (apart from records we have to keep by law). To do this, or if you have any questions about this policy, email us at papabricks.com@gmail.com.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can make it right. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business grows, for example if we add an email newsletter, a contact form or affiliate links. The latest version will always be on this page.
